My daughter is 7 months old and when she's eating she gets so excited that she she keeps inhaling the food and choking on it. Sort of like when you accidently swallow and it feels like it's gone done the wrong tube. She flings her arms and legs and grabs the spoon, shoves it in her mouth and breathes in the food. I try to clam her down, but she is just so excited to be eating.
Anyone have any tips to help her not breathe her food in or is this normal and all babies do it? I thought it was just something new and she would eventually get over it but she's been doing it for 2 months now and last night she was struggling for a long time and she got so upset she started crying and wouldn't finish her food.
Anyone else been in this position?
