Fussy baby! Refusing shop bought food

Hi everyone, please can I have some advice from your experience. My baby is 6 1/2 months old and I have been weaning for the last 4 weeks, making and pureeing her meals. We are off on holiday in a couple of weeks so I have been trying a few pre-made baby foods as I won't be able to cook whilst we are away. We have tried a few of Ella's but she literally hates them, refusing to eat more than a couple of mouthfuls. Does anyone have any suggestions for something she would be keener on? I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks so much :)

Have you tried her on things like sandwiches?

Or even just giving her what you are having? You could mash it with a fork if you don't want to let her feed herself.

Oh and try to remember that food is just an addition to the milk, she won't come to any harm if she doesn't eat much while you are away as long as she get enough bfs/ff Smile

I would refuse them too, they aren't very nice. I would just offer bits of what you are having as other posters have suggested.

Agree with just give her what you're having. You'll be surprised at what babies can/will eat! Grin

Sounds like she has fab taste buds. Have you tried them op? They truly are vile. They taste odd (well apart from the chocolate pudding).

Mash up whatever you are eating with a fork. If your worried about salt, just mention when ordering no salt, mash her up some, and then add salt to yours. Or look into blw, no pureeing that way. Sticks of whatever instead.

I agree with everyone else.
you don't need purees etc.
just feed her what you're having.

and yup , she's 6.5mo, as long as she's getting plenty of her normal milk that's really all she needs. :)

try the plum range, they are the closest to homemade of all the ones we have tried.

id recommend the age above as baby food is smoother than homemade so maybe its the texture Smile

DD wouldn't eat them either. I think it was the texture as littlemiss said. I agree with what others have said about sharing your food and not to worry too much. When DD was young we went away for the weekend and she refused to eat any of the ready made food.

Good luck. I hope you fond something that works.
