In Pain

Can anyone help, my DD is 6.5 months and has settled into eating purees really well and we also give her finger food to play with and taste too. Recently she has been waking up at night screaming in pain this can last 10mins to an hour until she is able to poo this also happens during the day. I thought maybe she is suffering from Colic but is she too old and could it be that she is intolerable or allergic to the food we are giving her, I have kept a diary of what she eats but a pattern does not seem to be forming.

Is there anyone who has had the same problem and if so will it settle or should I take her to the Doctors as it could be something more serious? Any feedback would be brilliant, thank you!

My DS has been a bit constipated on and off since starting solids. Could there be an element of this? Have you tried a tummy massage before bed?

Thank you ElphabaTheGreen, I don't think she's constipated as she poos an awful lot to the point where it explodes out of her nappies on a regular basis. But I will try the tummy massage to see if it helps.

Do you think her gut just might be a bit too immature to cope with the solids at the moment? Could you stop the solids for a couple of days and see if things improve?
