I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, I'm concerned about her 1 year old daughter and thought MNetters might have some advice...

She's got bad eczema which they've narrowed down so far to dairy, I think they're also avoiding eggs for the time being. She's been bf and has consistently refused a bottle/cup etc with formula or water. Beacuse mum's back at work part time, she has two feeds, morning and evening.

She has weaned but eats really tiny amounts, and is quite fussy - which is a pain given there's a lot she can't eat anyway. She's quite small for her age and has dropped a couple of centiles below what she began on (think she's on the 9th).

Her sleep was always pretty ropey but her parents did a pupd type thing at around 8 months which seemed to work, but now at 1 yr she's basically sleeping (or not!) like a newborn and is up half the night. I wondered if that's related to the food issue, since it's hard to imagine she isn't hungry or thirsty given the small amounts she takes. I should say, she's pretty contented during the day and doesn't seem especially grumpy!

Sorry this is a bit rambly, but I thought other mums might recognise the pattern if you've had similar issues? My friend's trying to contact a dietician for further advice.

Has your friend said she is worried?
