sounds fine to me ... vegetable sticks (carot batons, cauliflower, brocolli) .. I've found any food can be classed finger food so long as you don't mind the mess Grin

any kind of cup .. try the tommee tippee ones .. or a doidy cup maybe ..

Pittas with things to dip in - hummus, avocado dip, philadelphia etc

avocado batons, kidney beans, chick peas?

For a cup I like the ones with a spout but not the non leak ones which need a strong suck to get anywhere. They have some ok ones in Boots.

It's normal to wake up at this age, and doesn't necessarily mean she is not getting enough food.
I have a friend whose little girl is 16 months and doesn't eat much more than you describe your dd eating - in fact less I would say - and she is healthy, happy, bright and actually quite nicely chubby :)

My DS didn't take to bottles after being breastfed. Fisher Price do leakproof beaker with squigdy spout and its worked a treat. Suppose it felt like a nipple to him? Babies r us sell them don't know where else

My DS2 really liked the no-valve cheapo cups you can find at woolies etc.

Have you tried nice big pieces of pasta? Penne and fusilli are easier for babies to eat than pasta or macaroni are.

My son also has never liked the non leak beakers, also the are a nightmare to wash, have lots of fiddly rubber bits that are easy to loose. have found the flip lid great as the are less likely to leak in your bag. my son loved minced chicken or fish covered in breadcrumbs.

My dd (10 mths) also still breastfed, doesn't do spoons or bottles either. All those lovingly made organic puree cubes rejected! Rice cakes & oat cakes very popular. Also keen on cereals without the milk (some of the organic ones are low salt). I make ribbons of vegetables with a potatoe peeler, then steam them (eg carrot, beetroot, parsnip) and these are fun to handle. Loves peas and broad beans.
She now drinks from the doidy cup quite well, though recently had instisted on dropping her food into the cup instead of drinking.
We have the occasional hummus-fest, but the mess is unbelievable.
