What is the best place to lunch inbetween London and the Cotswolds?

It depends on where in The Cotswolds. It's not that far from London. About halfway also depends onwhere in London you're coming from. So, more info please!

Where are you heading? If into the Cotswolds Stroud-way I would say somewhere around Cirencester - this place is good.

The Bell at Aston Clinton - also probably as expensive as Le Manoir. But equally good.

stealth, starting from central London and heading for (eg) Chipping Campden on the M40 would take you right past the door...
