We are going to be travelling over on the ferry (with car)from Ireland to Holyhead in mid September with our 2 yr old and 3 yr old sons.

Can anyone recommend suitable places to go?

We would ideally like to stay somewhere with nice scenery and with lots to do for the children.

Anyone been to the Lakes with lo's?
Center Parcs?

Ok - have looked at Center Parcs and have been put off by comments of drab and overpriced accommodation.

We would prefer to stay somewhere in the lake district. Any recommendations on accommodation?

centre parcs is great although only been to Longleat one but been three times! can be pricey though

Also we have been to two 'Park Resorts'
they are small scale Haven type parsk all over Uk and the ones we have been to are lovely, get a gold caravan to make sure its decent, ours have been like luxury bungalows! kids clubs, swimming pools etc

Thanks chocolatemummy.

We were originally looking at center parcs in the Lakes but after reading some bad reviews decided against it.

We have bitten the bullet now and have booked a lodge at Bassenthwaite in the Lakes. Fingers crossed it all works out well.

Anyone else been here with kids?

Hello. Again, I have used www.greatlittleadventures.co.uk loads this summer holidays. Mainly based around the East of England but still has some really nice things to do around the country. You could do a lot worse than look at north Norfolk for a week's holiday. Really gorgeous place with loads to do with the children and a good base to explore from. There are lots of great places all the way round the coastline from Brancaster in north Norfolk to Southwold in Suffolk. Hope you have fun!
