if you can buy your tickets for legoland from lastminute.com as the prices are cheaper than legoland (although not sure how you would work the kids free coupons)
Food on site is a little expensive other than that most rides are free.
Soorry can't help with hotels as I llive just over an hour away!

depends on age of kids but out of season, should be able to get good deal at basic B & B in Windsor . Might be cheaper and IMO far nicer! I'd have thought 2nights is enough.

There are a number of travelodges nearby. Heston services (one in each direction) often have £15 rooms, if you book far enough in advance. Staines isn't a bad one to stop at. If you stop at Slough you have to pay (£6?) for overnight parking.

You can buy tickets using clubcard points. We bought annual passes this way.

Food onsite - last year it was about £3 for kids inc. drink. Just over £5 for adults without drinks. So we used to have kids meals. Drinks are where they get you, pricewise so take your own!

We went last year - and had a great time ...

We bought our tickets with clubcard vouchers

With money saved from that we stayed here and were very impressed - we ate our evening meal here too, and it was lovely.

When we ate in the park, as somebody else said, we all had children's portions - the portions sizes, particularly in the pasta place are enormous for the adult size portions.

We had a great time, and it didn't break the bank.

Is one day ok to visit legoland, or will you miss loads?

I think a day is enough but then ds doesn't go on all of the rides!

A lot depends how busy it is and as wfoa says, whether they want to go on all the rides. If its busy, the kids might get disappointed they haven't been on everything they wanted to, so if you can, I'd allow 2 days.

Part of it is down to timing. Some rides its best to go on early, before it gets really busy, like the jungle coaster, the dragon, driving school, fire fighters.

We now go several times a year as we have annual passes
