Petersfield, Petsworth or Midhurst?

I am hoping to meet up with an old friend - we live at opposite ends of the A272. Which of these towns would be best for a meet-up and where could we go?

All different - Petersfield is a larger town and has a lovely pond with ducks and a great playground (or a sports centre with great softplay if it rains). Also lots of shops and cafes. Petworth and Midhurst are smaller and both very picturesque. Petworth has Petworth Park - National Trust with huge parkland, great for a picnic and run round. Main part of town is a bit 'grannified' with lots of antique shops. Midhurst has lots of space for walks etc in land attached to Cowdray Park, and a playground, tea-shops etc, but is smaller.
