Where would you go in February?

That's the next time we can get anytime for a family break. After that is possibly next summer but probably October.

We are in Scotland but happy to travel. Self catering is ok as long as there is something good for a 6.5 year old to do. I am lost. Would centre parcs work? February is such a rubbish time of year.

Thought about Jersey but flights are expensive.

Centreparcs great option. If you go to windfall, you have lakes too if you decide CP is not your cup of tea, it will be quieter in Feb in the lakes, less tourists to contend with.

Thank you. Centre parcs looks affordable for once so might give it a try.

We are not wanting to fly far which is why we wanted to stay UK but thanks for your suggestions.

best time of year for cities that are normally too busy/unaffordable, Edinburgh,London,Amsterdam? All have lots of free entertainments for children. Amsterdam is a very short flight and cheap with KLM. Great public transport means you can stay somewhere affordable out of the city centre. Good for children off season.

We went to Bruges in February this year. I'd avoid Paris. It was colder than Antarctica when we went last February.
