Hello I'm looking to rent a chalet/caravan or likewise during August . Not too fussed about location as I'm planning on researching fun things to do . There will be 5 of us , 3 adults and 2 children. Only problem is we only want 2 nights stay .
My question is , is this possible ? Everywhere I look they only take whole week bookings. Any advice will be greatly received as I keep hitting a brick wall. Really don't want a hotel as after some living space as well as sleeping space . Thank you !

no is the really short answer to this one! not in August which is peak season. everywhere will either be booked because school hols have booked out much earlier this year or they will be holding out for a full week. you might be able to get a short break at the end of August say from the 29th or 30th onwards because the schools go back mid week the following week so no one with school age kids is going to book a full week. sorry. its a hotel or b and b. be aware though most of them will have a minimum 3 night stay in August.

august bank holiday for 3 nights, London for 1

You might get a late deal somewhere else but otherwise you'd probably have to rent for a week

if that's with airbandb then suggest you have a good look into the kind of accom that you are getting. have been some less than complimentary threads on mumsnet as it is people renting out and sometimes sharing their home with you. hope it all works out.

Thanks . I'm renting a chalet so no shared rooms as such although I expect the owners own property will be attached or very close by ! Only 2 nights as well so if it's not the best we'll only have to put up with it for a short time . On a positive note it's right on the beach so will be spending lots of time there .
