parking, eating and shopping advice in Cardiff /Millennium Stadium

DH, my boys and DB are going to watch rugby tomorrow in Cardiff at Millennium stadium.

I will be driving and as DB is a blue badge holder am wondering where we could park close to the stadium. ( have enquired about disabled parking at stadium but believe parking is limited).

Where would you suggest we can park?

I will have the time to myself when they are at the rugby.. is there shopping nearby?

and lastly restaurants nearby?

I don't know about parking , as I always get the train ( the station is very close to the stadium ) but shopping ! Yes !
There's a fabulous new shopping mall , with a big John Lewis and loads of other shops .
There are also lovely arcades with more unusual shops .
Where to eat ? Not sure really . There's a Jamies Italian , lots of chain restaurants in the shopping mall , but I'm not sure about anything more individual
I don't live in Cardiff , about 60 miles away , but I love a day to myself there .

There are numerous NCP car parks near the stadium all with blue badge spaces. As for shopping, well you'll be spoilt for choice. All cardiff's city centre shopping is a very short walk from the stadium, St David's 1 & 2 for starters plus Queen St, the main shopping street also nearby. Have a wander through the High Street and Castle arcades, they are quirky Victorian shopping streets.

Be aware though, that Cardiff city centre can be a bit, er, manic on match days although the shops should be relatively quiet.

As everyone says, great shopping in Cardiff. The rugby ground is in the city centre, so lots of carparking nearby. The city will be manic though.
Loads of places to eat too - what kind of thing are you looking for? Loads of restaurants in city centre, and more a bit out of the centre in the Cardiff Bay area.
