Any recommendations for Cornwall next summer?

The in-laws have offered to take us to Cornwall for a week next summer. They have about £1000 to spend on the accommodation for a week, ideally from 26th July. We are not sure what we want, either a holiday home or a caravan park with statics/lodges etc. We would like 3 proper bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We would like to be near a beach if possible. It is an absolute minefield trying to search places out when we haven't been before. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Gwithian beach have some beautiful beach houses to rent out. Not sure on price though. Also theres some great lodges around.....alrhough if you dont know the area maybe harder to get around.

If you want a typical holiday park exprience....mullion holiday park....or st ives bay joliday park. Theres also one in perranporth which is popular with tourists and locals too. Have a look around st agnes too. Beautiful place. You may beable to find a holiday home there. Very quaint little village with a great beach culture and nice places to eat.

Gwel an mor in portreath is just stunning. Maybe too expensive tho.

Stay on the south/south east coast so that you travel on the A38 all the way and don't go near the A30 which is a car park in the summer . we always stay around Looe, Polperro area in a cottage Here if we go to Cornwall. has a swimming pool and farm yard animals. beach only a few mins away. have a look at the cornwall tourist board website for other ideas. again we have found the tourist boards really helpful. wouldn't stay in a caravan with PIL personally - like a bit more space to escape if necessary.

Thank you both, lots to look at.
Mummy that complex of cottages looks lovely, just the sort of thing I'd go for. I think the in-laws will be swayed by us to be honest as they just want the kids to be happy. You're right about the caravan! We did 5 days with them this summer of The Broads and it was enough in a tiny space!

We stayed in Bude (north cornwall) this year in a self catering house. Beaches in bude are lovely, and there is a saltwater sea pool, which was great.

We paid £850 for a week to stay here: www.bramblecottage.net/ It was a lovely house, within easy walking distance to beach and town.

We will definitely be going back.
