Somewhere like Centerparcs that isn't Centerparcs and is dog friendly

Thinking about next years holiday, we are getting a pup so want to take her with us.

Centerparcs is £££s then you have activities on top plus we can only get comfort plus accommodation with the dog.

Haven is much cheaper but can only get the cheap caravans and DP is a bit of a snob and has always refused to stay in a caravan.

Ribby Hall doesn't allow dogs.

So ideally somewhere with a nice lodge/cottage, on site swimming pool, takes dogs, activities on site or close by.

I was thinking of hiring a cottage near the beach somewhere DP isn't keen.

Fallbarrow park - just outside Bowness at the Lake District, has caravans but lovely lodges too ( although caravans are very nice too).

have a look at the dogfriendly and dog sites generally first. be aware though that most places will not take a dog under a year old. if it is a pup you will really really struggle to find anything at all. also check out the local beaches and attractions. again a lot more of them are dog ban than you would think and it is a nightmare turning up with a dog under a year, getting turned away from your cottage or finding there is nowhere that you can take them to.

Try Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswolds, great place to go for a holiday. They have houses and apartments. Swimming pools and spa on site. Some of the places take dogs.
