Luxury hotel with baby monitor in the south

Anyone recommend a luxury hotel in the south which offers a wireless device for baby monitoring ie you can roam around the hotel with the baby monitor device rather than trusting someone from reception to listen ? I know there are many hotels which offer the listening service but we would prefer to listen ourselves. Thanks

If you have 2 iphones or an iphone and ipad, you can get baby monitor apps. Leave one beside the baby and the other acts as a receiver so you can see/hear baby. I use it when I visit family.

The spread eagle has one suite with direct access onto the bar meaning you can use your monitor & keep an eye on the door too

Have you looked at luxury family hotels - we've stayed in two and both had wireless baby monitors. Everyone had one on their table at dinner time which was quite amusing! Try the elms, moon fleet manor or new park manor

They also have crèches and most have spas Smile

MarathonMama - are they any good? I am tempted by Moonfleet but have read some really bad reviews so don't want to spend a fortune on a few nights away if not good!

We loved moonfleet but made sure we booked a refurbished room. The pool was a bit tatty but was warm and quiet. There wasn't a spa per se but they do treatments.

What we really liked was the big indoor hall full of soft play equipment, pool tables, ride ons, trampolines etc. we spent the time before the children's tea watching the kids play there with a glass of wine that had been brought to us - bliss!

The crèche there was fab too, the ladies who ran it were amazing with our DCs and organised loads of activities.

The food there was lovely, sometimes service was a bit slow but dinner in the evening was so relaxing and the baby monitors worked well for us.

We had a great break as the DCs did two sessions in the crèche each day without argument so we chilled in the lounge reading the papers!

We preferred it to new park manor. Although new park was glossier and the spa was lovely, the crèche wasn't as welcoming and the food wasn't great.

How old are your DCs?
