Am revisiting central Liverpool again with my daughters. We've done the ferry, Seacombe and Beatles museum already. What else is there to do with girls aged 7 & 11. We will be on public transport/walking.

Is that the one that charts Docks history? In the redeveloped quarter by the Mersey? Cause I think we've done that

The Maritime Museum is in the docks, The World Museum is nearer to Lime Street Station/St George's Hall.

Museum of Liverpool is also really good.

Stadium tour of Anfield.
Tate (lots of the art if great fun).
Yellow submarine.
Museum of slavery (not too harrowing for little ones) with Titanic exhibition.

Take a duckboat tour - bus for on land but can sail on the river too.

If you are taking the car, Knowlesly Safari Park is not too far out of the city.

All museums in the city are free entry.

Antony Gormley has statues on a local beach which you may be interested in, and there is a playpark next to it.

You can get public transport to the safari park as well.

What sort of things do they like doing? Croxteth Hall and park is good, you can get a bus there. They have something called jungle park which is like a mini.go ape.

Yes, i think it's probably safer to book. Just had a quick look and it looks like you can get 20% off at the moment www.jungleparc.co.uk

It's a shame the big egg hunt finishes tomorrow, DD had great fun on Saturday.

If your girls have seen pirates and an adventure with scientists the world museum have the actual boat and two of the figures used in the film. Unfortunately that's the only special exhibition they have on at the moment.
