Legoland & Tesco Vouchers

Hi, we are thinking of taking a 4 & 5 yr old to Legoland soon, using Tesco vouchers to pay it is only £11.50 worth per person... has any one done this? is 1 day enough? if we do two days will the kids be exhausted? any drawbacks to this method as it seems so much cheaper!
Also hotels - may possibly book through Tesco too (Hilton or Novotel), otherwise will just do Premier Inn at Heathrow as cheap, clean etc
Any advice please?

didnt want to leave your thread unanswered!

Yes have used the Tesco vouchers to get us all into legoland before. Excellent deal.

Hotels - premier inn always a good bet for children (especially if you can find one with soft play in the attached pub) I found the staff in Slough fantastic - they hauled out a box of toys in the restaurant and played with my two. Never stayed in Heathrow one. I havent booked hotels through Tesco - I have heard some say its a bit more risky because you can't guarantee they will have a room for you on the nights you want.

I have found that two days at legoland is best if you're making a special trip because then at least one of the days you can be there super early - find out which ride/s you want to go on most on day 1 and be first in the queue (well as close as you can!) on day 2. The boys really wanted to go on the submarine ride so we headed there first on day 2. Leave the less popular rides and wandering around the sights (like the miniature world) till later in the day!

It is quite an exhausting day - we did leave for lunch on day 1 (drove into Windsor for a macdonalds and a wander around) But I have no doubt the kids will be raring to go day 2.

Thanks very much for your reply!

Your advice is great as we are doing a special trip - one family from Yorkshire and t'other from Suffolk...

I agree seems a bit more long-winded to book hotels through tesco, and didn't realise they don't guarantee a room! Will have a look at the Slough Premier Inn before we book, as sounds like the staff were great there

Thanks v much, will use our vouchers for a 2nd day rather than on hotels x

glad can be of help (Slough itself is pretty grim btw - but then all you're doing is getting your head down)

hi, yes I do realise that - how can somewhere so close to Windsor be so hideous! Thanks!
