Tomy Crunching Crocdile

I've just bought ds Tomy's 'Crunching Crocodile' game from a charity shop. All complete, so far as I can tell, minus the instructions and we can't work out how to play it.

I've tried googling it, you tubing it (ds's suggestion - he's 3 ) and looked on the Tomy web site, but I can find neither the game nor their careline number.

Please can any kind soul who has the game explain to me how to play it? We've gathered that the frogs go on the big lily pad in the middle and that you turn over the animal cards, but how and when does the croc bite and what do you do with the lily pad cards?

Thanks in advance. We're just about to have another go and try and suss it out.

Sorry - title was meant to say Crunching Crocodile.

OK, worked out what to do with the lily pad cards and that the croc bites if you hit your lily pad hard enough (sounds dubiously euphemistic) but still not sure what to do with the lily. If you whack it, the croc bites, but how would you manage to simultaneously whack that and launch your frog to freedom?

Geez - I sound like I am speaking another language! Sorry.

(Additional problem has now cropped up, in that ds broke it, but blu-tack seems to be holding it together for now.)

set the croc
choose a croc player to turn over the cards one by one
croc player when you see the croc card and he's awake hit the water lily flower to make the croc snap
frog players at the same time hit your lily pads to jump out of the way
if your frog gets caught - turn over a token to its munched side 5 munches and youre out
last frog player left wins

don't leap if crocs asleep if the croc snaps when he shouldn't frog players save a token
if frogs leap when crocs asleep they lose a token
and if panicky frogs leap on any other card all the other frogs save a token

have fun

mussymum, heartfelt thanks!

Dh has re-glued croc's head so allow we now have to do is convince the dcs of the rightness of the correct rules.
