Mini Micro scooter v My First Scooter

I am thinking of getting my twins a scooter for their 3rd birthday but not sure which one to get.

After all the reviews for the mini micro I thought I should invest in these as they seem to be so great (going to ask my parents if they can put a bit towards it as their present to the DC). But I'm wondering if they are worth it for how much my DC will be using them? They will only be able to use them maybe once/twice a week at the moment when my DP is there too as I have a new baby and so can't control the twins plus push baby in her trolley.

They are small for their age and have never had a bike/scooter before so not sure which is best for them. They have no road sense and I can't keep my eye on both of them and baby so they won't be able to ride off freely for some time.

It is just such a big expense for 2 and I'm wondering should I get them the My First Scooter initially and then get them a Mini Micro scooter when they will get more use out of it or is that just false economy??

Oh I think I may have just answered my own question but still going to post anyway - any advice would be appreciated Smile

Never done a link before so not sure if this will work My first Scooter Its got 4 wheels that you can take off as the DC gets more confident.

I think Micro scooters are worth the money - however if they are 3 I think I would just get them the bigger version (the one that you can extend the handlebar so it will last until they are about 12yo) The first setting is about the same height as the mini micro but they will outgrow the mini one about 5 I think.

Don't get a my first scooter to replace it with the mini micro. I would say they are totally worth the money. My small 5 year old still uses his all the time.

They might not be able to use them all the time just now, but they don't take long to get the hang of. Be strict about things like stopping at the pavement right from the off.

Dd had my first scooter for her second birthday and a mini micro for her third.

We found the first one heavy, clumsy and on the small side - would def go straight for the micro if they are 3 she loves it and they are very stable!

If you are looking to avoid massive cost look at the twist n roll scooters at Argos

Not got the build quality of the mini micro but have the same stability and should do the trick. DNiece has one and gets on with it ok.
