pony toy advice

I don't belong here, by the way

I just came to ask about toys and I thought pony people would know

my dd loves ponies; she's 9, so looking for more 'grown up' stuff, and she wants some pony related toys to play with and I don't know which are the right ones

I've been looking at the Breyer Stablemates ones because it seemed that there were things that we could buy for a couple of quid as pocket money toys and then get other things for birthdays etc

however though the horses look fine the people look blardy terrifying

any suggestions? or should I just naff off to the 'Toys' talk section where I truly belong?

play mobile?

My dd is 8.6yrs and loves to play with a mix of barbie/my sindy horses, german horse figures, polly pockets and play mobile - all mixed together in one big equestrian set up (usually in the spare room!)

I used to love these when I was younger

She's had bucketfuls of playmobil in the past, and feels to have outgrown them - she has a littler sister who plays with it so gets a bit sniffy about the whole thing. I love playmobil.

God agedparent those are gorgeous! but ££s..

Then she will want a real pony and you will never have a penny to your name ever again (but will be blissfully happy!)

Ah the days of cantering around being a human pony and trying to get lead leg right

I had a Sindy horse and stable but mainly used my hands with middle finger extended (head and neck) and other fingers and thumb as legs (I still do this sometimes) there was mummy horse and baby horse

what a confession!

You can get various board games about horses and ponies, or perhaps figures as part of farmyard set?

We even have horse monopoly.

But mostly the Breyer's get played with - dd1 is 11 and deffo horse-mad. She also has a Breyer catalogue which she pours over endlessly.

Or get her a magazine subscription?
