do you think wine will ease the soreness.. already had hot bath, painkillers and arnicia.

Not sure what happened, we ride in the New Forest and was out on a hack today with field mate. Was crossing the road, a forest pony was coming up road a same time and a car tried to squueze past.

My baby spooked... and rodeoed. Got whacked in the face, stayed on a good bit, but then exited out the side door. Landed heavily on left hand side and now hip and kidney area are aching.

Back protector did its job further up and on shoulder.

He then stood and looked at me!! at least didn't tank of.

I think I am going to hurt tomorrow.

Ouchee - sounds horrid.

Absolutely no excuse for that kind of behaviour - hope the nasty car stopped to help, or at least apologise but somehow doubt it.

Wine & chocolate always works for me . Hope you're not feeling too bruised & sore tomorrow.

Aloe vera for the bruises! works wonders.

Ow, you landed on road? Hope you are not still too sore. Majority of other road users v considerate here but a lorry put a friend in a ditch recently while my utterly bombproof (at least in traffic) boy tried to double barrel it

nope car didn't stop... and neither did car from other direction, they looked at me lying on side of road getting breath back whilst friend caught pony... who I must was good and was looking at me to say... what you doing down there.

Bruises healing, but think I have done some damage to my cheek bone as I got pony's head in face when he was rodeoing. My face and cheek is very tender.

Havent been back on yet as too sore on Sat, competition for kids yesterday and at work today.

Hope I haven't lost nerve.

I hate the way that drivers treat horses. Tractor drivers are the worst out here, they refuse to slow down, an when they are towing a 12 furrow plough behind, or one of those roller things that jangle it's terrifying. And the car and van drivers who shout or 'beep'! At you for riding two abreast! It's just bloody ignorant!
