Anyone know of a good riding stable near Oxford?

I rode a lot as a child/teenager but haven't done it for years, except on a few short treks on holidays.

I'd really like to get back into it but am slightly nervous, and don't really know where to begin. I'm local to Oxford, does anyone know of a friendly stables nearby where I could have a chat with them and think about taking some lessons?

Has anyone else got back into riding after a long break? How was it?

Yes! Dd has been taught at Asti Equestrian by Evie. They are the best riding school she has ever been. Lovely ponies and horses, nice arenas (although not indoor) and Eve is wonderful (other instructors probably as well but she was taught by Eve). We are now sadly abroad and have not been able to find anything even half as good as Asti.

They look lovely, thank you! They're slightly further away than I wanted to travel but I don't really mind that for somewhere that will be really good, so I might sort out a visit.

Which side of Oxford are you?

Checkendon Equestrian Center is good.
