Argh! What sort of knickers do you ride in? (trivial post alert)

I thought I'd avoided the dreaded visible pantyline under jods by buying hideous big knickers and praying I never get carted off to hospital. Well, dh came to the stables today (very rare event!) and brought his camera to practice so took a lot of photos. Shock horror! Yes I do look fine when walking around (my mirror didn't lie) but when riding there is a very obvious line round the top of my leg. It looks awful, I might as well have a sign saying "I'm wearing granny knickers". This is very wrong as in my head I'm only 20 and a slender size 8 Wink.
Time for a rethink if anyone has any suggestions?

What jods are u wearing? I prefer the ones with the suede type full seat. I thought u were going to talk about being sore from wedgies lol!!

Ah well, I do want to avoid that too Grin. I've got various different types of jods but no expensive ones I'm afraid. I have got a new pair of denim ones that I paid quite a bit for at Hickstead last month but I haven't worn them yet as I got them slightly too tight as incentive to lose my last stone! Hopefully they will look ok.
The ones I was wearing today are the two-tone type that weren't as flattering as I'd imagined they'd be Hmm. They were brand-new as it happens. Perhaps it's just them and my old tatty ones don't look as bad? . Will have to pose for some more photos to check ha ha.

Hmm, I just wear full briefs, but not unflattering granny knickers Grin. I prefer my knickers to be pretty form fitting especially if they are going under jods or breeches.

I got some Sloggi knickers cheap in TK Maxx and wear them for riding. They are full but not 'granny'.

Marks and Spenser they are seem free/ invisible but yes there is nothing invisible under white show jods, I just except it.

Hi, some good ideas here thanks Flowers.
Will have a look in M&S first as I still have vouchers from Christmas that I'd been saving for when I eventually drop down a bra size . Sloggi sounds hopeful too as it sounds a bit sporty but I could be imagining that lol.
Actually Zazzles the knickers my granny used to wear went down to her knees so would give a very smooth outline but a bit warm for this weather Grin.

i got a 5 pack pair of both black/white from bhs, as long as they are comfy to ride in it is all that matters

Seam free shorts with no lace under the bum (coz it itches like hell after a while in the saddle! lol).
Some like these shouldn't give you lines where you don't want them! www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_158010214060_-1

Thanks very much. Smile
I'm off camping for a few days this week (New Forest Show) so won't be near the shops but have planned a shopping trip with dd for when we get back.
