This week I have had a promotion at work, been given the chance to ride 2 fab horses (one is the grandson of Nebo Daniel) and bitted my little pony for the first time. He also was seen by the farrier and didn't climb on his back!

Just worrying what next week will bring, surely it can't continue to be so great?!

Thank you! I noticed that you commented on the thread about my skinny pony. Just to update. He is doing brilliantly. He has gained lots of weight, his coat is looking great and he is much happier. Thank you for taking the time to comment. x

He is unrugged now and has been for about a week. He is moulting like mad so must be warm enough. He has much less scurf as well. He is out 24/7 anyway and haylage in the field adlib. I have been keeping a photo diary so I can see how much better he is.

I will post another in a few weeks to show his progress.

Sounds like it's all good Smile.

I've just checked my emails and I've won a tub of joint aid from Horse Magazine. Will come in handy for the oldies!

Great news for you too Pixel. I have a feeling this is going to be a great horsey year!

I am so happy about Ffred. I love him so much, he has come on so much in the 6 months I have had him. I couldn't get near him at first, he would go up in the air at any opportunity. Now he comes to call, throws his head in the headcollar and my 7 yr old leads him around the yard like a dog. I couldn't touch his ears or face but now he loves cuddles and having his head rubbed.

I am so lucky to have found such a little gem. The best £50 I have ever spent!

Yes, spent ages with him. He is like a big dog. I put a saddle on his back today (no girth or stirrups) to start getting him happy with the equipment and he didn't bat an eyelid! By the time he is ready for breaking he should be so used to everything that we'll have no problems. I am in no hurry to do anything with him, he is ours for life.

It might be even more rewarding than having kids!! (Only joking, well sort of!!)
