Tell I won't have forgotten how to ride. I feel very nervous about going - even though before DS I rented horses and have ridden since I was 6.

You won't have forgotten. My mother didn't ride for about 16 years but was fine as soon as she got back on. It's like riding a bicycle, only easier.

Have a good time!

you will be fine but might feel very stiff afterwards.

YY on the remembering and the stiffness. You'll be so happy to be riding again, you'll forget how much it stretches your inner thighs. But have fun!

Oh I'm prepared to not be able to walk properly for a few days - even though I'm only having a half hour private lesson.

You will be fine - I have just started again after nearly 30 years and although it felt very strange on the first lesson after that I was fine. I am also very nervous so if I can do it again after all that time anyone can!

Good luck and let us know how you get on..

Have you had your lesson yet? How was it?
