Does anyone have much experience with camping with horses? We are going to be going into the wilderness this fall and I think I know what I need, but if anyone has any tips, I would greatly appreciate them! We are lucky enough to live in a area that has yurts scattered about in the woods, and one can rent them out for a night or a week. www.southwestnordiccenter.com/yurtdescriptions.htm
Horses are apparently welcome to stay as well! There won't be shelter for them except trees, (so we can also highline) but there should be grazing.
Again, if anyone can share tips, I have been back country with horses, but I have always had a guide/wrangler, I have never been the wrangler!
Also, the yurts are primarily for skiers, but in the fall when there is no snow, it's good for horses. If there is a huge snowfall, we won't be going!
