Loss of weight

Hi there, my 5 year old 16 hand gelding has dropped some weight over the last week. Nothing serious but am curious if anyone else experiences this at the start of spring. He lives out but I have bought him in every day over winter for 2 big hay nets and he's been fine.

He still has two feeds a day and is happy in himself. Any ideas? Grass is slowly growing but its pretty bare.

he did have dentist work on his teeth last week but not sure if that a connection. TIA

is it time to worm? Eating drinking and pooing normally?

mine are already getting fat so have started reducing feeds and hay

grass exploding everywhere though, although the stuff I thought was grass under the electric fence turned out to be nettles. Wish had noticed that before I rolled under the fence.

yep he's pooing well and has just been wormed. Always drinks well too. We still have a way to go before grass starts coming through.

Pony who's held his weight well over the winter has dropped a bit, and looks a bit tucked up. I'm glad it's not just him!

DD's pony is looking very trim at the moment, having spent all winter looking like a butterball coated in yak hair. I put it down to a combination of losing some of his winter coat and my feeding only tiny amounts of hay as the grass is starting to come through.
