Gift for horse loving/owning sister

My sister has been really supportive of me over the past year or so I want to get her a thank you present she bought her first horse last year and while she has all the essentials I want to get her something that she will actually use and that will be one less purchase for her.

Does anyone have any suggestions so i can keep it a surprise. Max of up to £100 for the gift.

I am pretty sure she doesn't, I shall have a snoop when I'm at her house this weekend. Is this a gift that you would find useful?

Does it have to be a suprise because if anybody bought us a horsey suprise we'd probably be disappointed. That is because we always want specific stuff - new bits, saddles, jodphurs, jackets, shampoos/products and especially different seasonal rugs for our 4 ponies that we'd appreciate more help to pay for them and it would be a shame for the giver to waste their money.

Buying equine things is usually very specialised and often requires measurements of either animals or riders. If I was buying for somebody I didn't know well I'd probably go for a magazine subscription (probably Horse and Hound or a specialist mag if I knew they were a) into something and b) didn't already get it.

Chaps (probably half chaps in reality) would be a nice idea but trouble is if she likes them she'll probably own them already and if not... justchaps.co.uk have a great selection and that is where we buy ours from.

Take her to the nearest saddlers and ask her what she would like. That is probably the safest bet.

How about a gift voucher for her local saddlery. Most of them do this now.

If you can, see if you can get a horseshoe from your sisters horse and get it silver plated. Not only is it unique but really personal too. I did it for my niece when she was born:

You could get a sketch done of her horse from a photograph, should be easy enough to sneakily get one from someone who knows her. Not sure how much that would cost but maybe worth looking into?

My auntie was given one of her dog by some friends and she was thrilled.

Does she compete? How about a gorgeous pair of jodhpurs? Cavallo or Pikeur. These are what I ask for for birthdays & Christmas as I am too tight to buy them for myself!

How about a day on a dressage or event training course, then she could arrange it for when it suited her - what is she interested in?
