A couple of years ago we were having some trouble with the neighbouring farm burning stable waste at the part of their land that backs on to the bottom of our garden. I spoke to the farm owners who were very hostile so got the local environmental health officer involved. (Sorry if this sounds extreme but the fires would last for days and I didn't want my 2 DC breathing in these fumes). The neighbours are now back to their burning activities (36 hours so far and counting).
I know nothing about keeping horses but am hoping someone can let me know what the correct routes are for removing stable waste? I can't believe this is the normal way of doing it, or is it? I will be contacting environmental health again but wanted more info on this before I do.
