We finished today- it's been a long year! Being very nosy...

So, where are you, when did you finish and (dare I ask) when do you go back?

Suffolk: finished today, back 3rd September.

Finished on the 10th. Back on the 26th August (:() for four days of INSET. Children back on September 1st.

dd1 finished (high school) on the 18th, we finished (different high school) on the 23rd and dd2 (yr6 primary) doesn't finish until the 29th!!! Summer is practically over.
Have been into work for the last 2 days to do everything that I didn't get time to do at the end of term, back into work (unofficially but still..) for the A level results on the 14th August and GCSE on the 21st August. Then back for INSET on the 1st.

all these holidays that teachers' get eh?

All these people who have 3 days of Inset at the start of the year -is that so that you can finish earlier next summer instead of having to go back for a Monday and Tuesday?

Lucy cat unfortunately no we finish the same time as other schools in the area. Academy so longer day and year but more pay

Two weeks in to Semester 2 in Australia, but the spring break is at the end of September. The summer holiday kicks in on 19th December.
