New job, not sure of protocol

Ok this is identifiable but I have no choice.

I have a position for September (one term) but with the vague but not confirmed suggestion ofmpossibly being longer. Another school have contacted me with a position that would really suit me in terms of hours and location and I have an interview coming up. Do I need to inform the first school about this? I'm thinking not, unless i get the job, but I do want to keep things amicable. Would really appreciate guidance.
