My current head would get a 4, has serious weaknesses or requires special measures. Awful Sad. Everyone is jumping ship and this is making me wonder if the whole Gove/Ofsted charade has ruined the relationship between head and staff?

My last head was a grade 3 with lots of 2's.

I would give my current heard a good with outstanding features. Maybe even leaning more towards the outstanding.
Have worked under many heads I would have given 4s to and a head I would have given all ones to- he had just left being a ofsted inspector.

I would give my wonderful! but soon to retire Headteacher an Outstanding. He is fantastic to work for: fair, approachable, kind, passionate about the children, good with parents, fun, meticulous, open, interested in Early Years (so many headteachers aren't) etc. etc. I'm gutted he's leaving, but hope that he has a very long, healthy retirement.

Outstanding. Without question. He is one of the wisest, fairest and kindest people I've met. He's a great head. I've never heard anyone - staff, pupils or parent - say a word agsinst him.

Ofsted disagree of course and gave him lower.

A 1 for intentions but a 3 for following through!!

Loads of good ideas and grand schemes, but soon forgotten about when the next ones comes along. Find one way and stick to it!!!
