Asking for my daughter.
She has several years experience as a TA in a special school and is currently just finishing her second year of a degree. She was going to go on and do her PGCE but is now wondering about qualifying via the Schools Direct route. She particularly wants to specialise special education and we know of at least one local special school who are supporting the programme. If she goes down the PGCE route she'll be lucky to get more than one day in a special school but will it lead to a broader qualification?
