Hi All,

I stumbled across this story on dailymail....you know how they are such beacons of honesty when reporting any story :) However these pictures did seem to suggest the Countess was really having a go at this bodyguard. Opinions? Having an off day? Being a madam? ????

maybe he did something really stupid and she had a go at him?

Perhaps he did, nobody is perfect, royalty or otherwise. The pictures seem to convey one person having a go at someone who doesn't want to open his mouth back, so you may well have a point or else Sophie has a temper!

The pictures printed are the ones the paper chose to print.
They will tell the story the paper wish to tell.

She looks a bit like I probably did when a bloke who worked for me used very racist language. Or she may be a cow.

But what is the point in guessing. Or worse, pretending you know what is going on.

I don't know, hence the topic. However I do know that if someone said something racist to me they wouldn't work for me anymore. There would be no public confrontation, there would just be a letter of dismissal outlining why. Particularly if I was in the public eye. You are right, the press print what they want us to see, thats why these forums are a good place to speculate and accumulate information that is not spoonfed via the media.

what i find odd is that she would have a go like this in public - surely she knows the paps are out and about!

WHat's the point of this thread? We weren't there, we have no idea what was said and she clearly isn't liked by the Daily Mail. It looks like nothing tbh and has been blown out of all proportion

Who knows?

I think she's looking pretty good though, longer hair suits her [shallow]

the point of this thread is - presumably - to speculate!!! (which is fun)

Whats the point of any thread about the Royal family who live their life in the public eye? I think, as a family, they split opinion and are under public scrutiny. However as individuals they deserve privacy. I agree. They however are afforded personal security guards, paid for by the taxpayer. These men and women, man, in question, has employment rights, and a right to dignity. These picures would suggest that Sophie is being particulary rude to this gentleman. I don't know whats going on, as a poster has pointed out, the press prints what it want you to see. However, Sophie must be naive to be outside Bruce Oldfield, a week before a huge royal event, having a go at this man. There was always going to be a certain amount of speculation. If it was a lady and husband/partner having an argument I would obviously ignore it/ it wouldn't be printed. It is not however, its is Sophie and a public servant. It is public, she made it public.

Thanks Sugarskyhigh! This is what is about exactly! I am a fan of SRJ as a matter of fact and applaud the way she protects the privacy of her children. This is different however, its not just personal, that man is a public servant, hence it becomes political

She might not have been having a go at the bodyguard - hard to tell what is going on from the pictures. Maybe she had got annoyed with something else and was having a bit of a rant at the bodyguard about it?

Also a possibilty catsareevil, I disregarded what the text said and had a look at the pictures, it seems she was preety irked at something and the chap bore the brunt of it, personal or not.

It says she "can be rather grand".

Maybe she has to be as she is "ordinary" by birth & staff probably resent having to wait on her iyswim.

I hope not because there is nothing 'grand' about being a bully, grace comes from respecting those who work for you. She always comes across as so nice thats why I posted in the first place, it just seems out of character.

No, I agree, but if staff are making her feel that way, then surely they are the bullies?

Ans so what if she acts grand-wonder if that´s ever said as a criticism towards those who are "born to it"

But as said-who knows what it´s about?

And on the whole, yes, she seems lovely-Edward is v. lucky imo.

I think he is lucky as well, she seems like a great mother too. I would have thought that she would be allowed to change/dismiss her staff if they were unsatisfactory. I also agree with an earlier poster who said that the press prints what it wants us to see...It is however a public servant and if there is any mistreatment of him, it is acceptable that there is a public debate/speculation. I hope it was just a misunderstanding and nothing serious
