How do you ever get rid of litter trays?

Do you mean how do you get a cat to pee and poo outside the house?

In many cases you never do. Even when cats have a cat flap they still often prefer to use the tray if it's raining, or cold, and especially if the ground is frozen, or if the next door neighbour's cat happens to be in the garden ....

Anyway it's often good to have a tray as that way you will know if something's wrong with them (blockage, diarrhoea etc).

And of course it will stop your neighbours complaining about your cat crapping in their flowerbeds:)
