Hello, One of my cats (Male, 2YO, been spayed) has some really weird symptoms.

First off, he smells.... eggy. He's been known for cat farting, but now I'm starting to think there's something wrong. Ever since we've had him he's been funny about plucking his own fur, he stopped for ages but he's doing it again now, he has bald patches on his neck, chest and back of his legs, he's also made some sores there.

His fur on the top of his head is really thin as well, it's A LOT shorter then it was.

He is always up to date with worming treatments and flea treatments so I don't think it's that.

He seems so depressed and sad... he's always been a bit like it, I don't know why.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what it may be before I book in with the vet?

TIA

You really need to take him to the vet, I'm afraid.

Not a clue and really there's not much point guessing before he sees the vet. I hope it can be sorted out.

Just found a huge cut on the back of his leg, will take him to the vet tomorrow.

Thanks for replying :)

Maybe it's infected a bit and that's the smell?

Best of luck tomorrow.

It looks really clean so not sure it's that plus he's always been a bit smelly, poor old dave, not having the best of luck. He's booked in for this afternoon with our vets.

Well 2 years old is nowt but a kitten in my books. Ask the vet about the whiff when you're there. And let us know how he gets on.

Smile
