The litter tray

how long did you keep your cat indoors for?

I collected my 2 yo rescue cat today. She keeps peeking through the cat flap, staring out of the windows and sits by the front door meowing.

She seems really settled and comfortable and I know it's crazy as she's not even been here for 12 hours. But do I really need to keep her indoors for at least 3 weeks? How long did you keep yours indoors for?

Not quite the same but when we moved house we only managed a week, it's worked out ok.

We gave in to our older cat and let her out in the garden under supervision after a day or so because she seemed calm and contented, but suddenly something scared her and she bolted - we never saw her again. She'd always been mine, but had lived with my parents for a few years, so it's not as if she wouldn't have known the sound of my voice when I searched for her for days on end, but she couldn't or didn't want to come back.

Keep her in!

Absolutely agree. Keep her in for the full three weeks. It's really not worth the risk, and three weeks will soon go.

Icaughtyouadeliciousbass that's awful.
Will def keep her in. She seemed less interested to go outside today, might have something to do with the rain.

Her 2nd batch of vaccinations is in June so should will let her out shortly after that.
