Cat Fit/Seizure/Epilepsy

Does anyone have any experience with a cat having fits/seizures and/or epilepsy?
Male tabby is 4.5 years, has been very healthy, had fit about a month ago for no apparent reason, has been well ever since, vet did full tests and said it was not a stroke.
He had another today (I am abroad).....so very stressful...
The vet said it could be epilepsy but would have to have more to be able to diagnose it, the only other cause would be a brain tumor which they would not treat :(
Has anyone got a cat that has been diagnosed with this? and taking medication?

There are lots of causes if seizures in cats toxoplasmosis is a really common one that springs to mind. Epilepsy occurs reasonably regularly in cats, but is a diagnosis of exclusion so you have rule everything else out. Though like some other diseases cats with epilepsy can just stop having it.

He has had full bloodworks, I will check if toxoplasmosis was included, how would he have got that though?

Toxoplasmosis is most commonly caught from eating rodents. The blood work for it normal has to sent of and can take up to 10 days to get results.
