Our 6yr old male (neutered) tabby cat is driving me crazy. About 3 times a week he'll come in and eat but straight after he loudly meows & fusses to be let back out. If he sees me in the garden or near the house he runs over for a stroke so I don't think he dislikes me lol and the winter he'll come in for a while to sleep at the top of the stairs but otherwise he just won't come in. I'm starting to begrudge him a little now (sounds mean I know) but I spend nearly £100 a year to insure him and he's not really like our cat. Our other cat (she died last year) was the opposite only went out to use the loo then curled up on the sofa again.

Some cats are just roamers, even if neutered, particularly in the summer months - but it may change a little as he gets older. (Right now he's in the prime of life.)

I did consider rehoming him (wondered if he'd be happier elsewhere) but he seems happy & healthy just likes his freedom.

He just might be the terror of the neighbourhood - although a Six Dinner Sid could be a possibility, I suppose. If he's coming back to yours, though, he likes it there - even if only in passing. Cats won't choose to go anywhere they don't like.

Ha ha Six dinners Sid, wouldn't surprise me Grin He left me a lovely dead rat as a love token this morning, hung around the garden for me to find it and be impressed Confused
