The litter tray

Raw diet

I was just wondering if any one on here feeds their cats a raw diet, such a raw meat and fish? My friend has just started her cats on it, and they seem to be loving it, they don't meow for food as much since they have been on it, and they seem much more 'satisfied' according to her.

Was just hoping to see if anyone on here has any experience of raw feeding? Just curious really.

My friend gives her cats raw eggs when she's out of cat food and can't get to a shop to buy more, and they seem to love it. Does that count?

I don't myself, RightsaidFreud, but there are several people around who do. Just keep a weather eye on the thread for a bit and they might post.

Raw feeding is great for them, you have to be careful when feeding them a raw diet though. If you order the cat mince through a petfood supplier you don't have to worry about the ratios etc as it's all sorted before they mince it. But if you are buying fresh meat yourself you have to make sure they get heart a few times a week as it contains taurine which is essential for their health. There is lots of info online advising what should make up their main diets, the ratio of muscle meat to bone etc.
