Cat carriers

Our current one broke on the way to the cattery so we will need to get another. Any recommendations for a replacement? It needs to be a reasonable size as our two go into one carrier together and our ginger boy Gordon is quite a chunky lad Grin.

Personally I'm a fan of the plastic coated wire toploaders - but I've been having a look around the net and I can't find any. This is quite a good large and sturdy standard type carrier: www.petsathome.com/shop/atlas-wire-door-open-top-cat-and-small-dog-carrier-by-ferplast-13651

It's best to avoid anything very cheap as they tend to be flimsy - and definitely avoid ones with plastic as opposed to wire doors

I have the cat cabrio from www.thecatgallery.co.uk. It is pricy but chunky and I can fit my two cats in together, I can thread a safety belt through the handle in the car which is quite useful.

Thanks everyone. Its been a real squeeze for our two in the old carrier, so your recommendations are very much appreciated, not least by them!

I agree with thecatneuterer at this is actually the type of carrier that is recommended in the latest cat friendly practice recommendations with a towel over the top to create a hide.
