I have removed the cover but it's right in the middle of sofa completely saturated.
It stinks is there anything I can do at all?

Oh, I feel your pain! Our cats peed on our sofa as we had moved it to relay the floor!

I would suggest scrubbing; sprinkling on bicarb of soda, the scrubbing again - just keep doing it and the whiff should fade.

You will need to be careful that the cat doesn't keep peeing there - once they find a suitable place, they tend to use it again... (speaks from bitter experience of finding unpleasant wee-corners.)

Yep I have also had that problem before in my old house. A little corner on the stairs there!
Oh dear I really don't think it's going to come out, all of the foam is soaking. So rubbish we have nowhere else to sit and if we end up having to get rid we are having 16 people over for a party two weeks tomorrow. Grrrr!

Sprinkle a good layer of corn flour over the wet patch. It will soak up the liquid, but you have to leave it to soak it up overnight or all day. The you hoover. If it's still wet, do it again. When it's all soaked up, you clean with vinegar/bicarb and you can use corn flour again after if it gets really wet as dampness might give it a mouldy smell.

This works wonders; www.petsathome.com/shop/litter-odour-eliminator-by-simple-solution-82917

You just pour it over and it will soak in and, when it eventually dries there will be no more smell at all. I promise. I've used it on mattresses before now. Why do you think your cat did it? It's quite unusual. Could it be cystitis related?

Sorry that was the wrong link. It should be this one; www.petsathome.com/shop/simple-solution-stain-and-odour-remover-for-dogs-500ml-106351

However the one I always buy from the store itself, not online, has a picture of a cat and dog on the bottle and particularly mentions cat urine. I don't know why I can't see it online. I'm sure the dog one will be fine though.

I can't be sure as I wasn't first down this morning but I suspect the door to kitchen (where her tray is) may have been closed or obstructed by something. She usually uses it with no problem
