Cat Being Sick

In the last week my 5.5 year old black short haired cat has been sick 4 times. He seems otherwise healthy, still eating his 2 pouches of Felix per day and drinking as usual.

It isn't happening after he eats and the vomit is just like a brown liquid with a couple of bits of undigested food in it but never loads.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Do I need to be worried yet?

My cat had a similar thing - it was a stomach upset, which went after she had some antibiotics from the vet. She was sick everywhere for a few days - she was obviously hungry but sadly could not keep anything down. Not pleasant!

This is why I am confused as he does seem to be keeping things down. We are talking four vomits across about 16 meals now. And he is still asking for his food as normal too. It is most odd.

Maybe it is hairballs or something? Otherwise I would have thought they would be sick more often. Might be worth keeping an eye on them for a couple of days then vet if they don't recover?

Hair balls were my first thought Baby. He has almost doubled in size over the last month as his winter coat has developed! There hasn't been any hair in the puke but I am half expecting to get in from work one day to the most massive hairy mess imaginable!

Is he making the the furball wretching noise?
There are two types of sick in the gin household, the silent how embarrassing I've gobbled my dinner too quick and I need to deal with it sick and the more elaborate I've got a furball and you are all going to know about it sick.

He is making a wretching noise and appears to heave a few times before he is sick. there has been no further puking in the last 24 hours.

UPDATE (from clickarse dh) Over 24hrs since last puke. new litter tray, food/water bowls and all meals eaten at leisure. The little blighter has even found time to take a couple of lumps out of me. Normality has returned.
