At the beginning of june we took in a kitten off someone was told he was 15 weeks old. didn't look that old. he was wild but also lovable iykwim.over time he's calmed and very much loved, anyway we let him out into the back garden and leave the door open for him to come and go,whenever i call him he come bouncing in straight away well (to the point)tuesday night he didn't come back,,days searching worrying until yesterday ,heard hubby calling his name as he coming home so me n dd ran outside to see if cat was there, yes hiding under neighbours bush(missing his collar )called him but wouldn't come ,eventually managed to get him but his personality has completely changed he is not the same cat.what can i do.

Something has scared him? He'll be back to himself again in a few days I hope, although I have a cat who refused to ever go out again after something similar.

Are you absolutely sure it's him?

I know someone who lost their cat for about a week, found it again and kept commenting on how much friendlier he now was, a few days later she noticed his neutered bits had regrown...lol
