Missing cat...what do you think?

Male cat age 8 was sent out last night at 11 pm as usual. Was expected home at 8am for his breakfast - but hasn't been seen since :-(
He and his sister were due to go to the cattery this morning for their two week "holiday" so the carrier was brought in last night. There was a headless mouse on the step this morning ...but no cat. Could this be the key? DH thinks this is significant, but I'm more inclined to think he's locked in somewhere.
We are going on holiday tomorrow afternoon for two weeks so 10-11 am tomorrow is the final hour.
So what do you think...something to worry about or he'll show up soon?

Catching site of the carrier always made my cat vanish, I hope you find him in time.

The only time mine stayed out overnight he was hiding in the bushes in the garden as he isnt keen on mil (she tried to kill him with a christmas tree once and he hasnt forgotton it).

We had to drive from Devon to the midlands to get him in using ham as a lure.

Try ham.
