For just over a week there has been a kitten in our garden, looking very sorry for itself, it was shivering & looked very bedraggled! I set up a lil cat box with towels in & fed it, it has not moved from our garden now for 3 days, gets out of the box for toileting & goes back inside again, I have called RSPCA, Blue X, Cats protection & animals in distress, the bottom line is nobody can help, the cat has been put on a few missing lists, but other than that there is little anybody is willing/able to do, I feel so frustrated with this, i was really hoping one of these charities would help, I do not know what the next step is, i cannot have it inside, already have one cat, two toddlers & a very ill father, i cannot cope with another cat, but i can't just ignore it out there!!....Any ideas as what to do next?!...

& before you flame me , i have already been had a go at by the RSPCA for feeding it, i know it was "the wrong" thing to do, but he looked so scared & hungry!

Someone more helpful will be along in a minute.

I am Envy

Whereabouts are you? Maybe a smaller rescue centre?

Any idea how old it is? where abouts are you? Does it look healthy?

Please do continue to feed it. If it is not leaving your garden it must be starving. It wont survive too long without food
If you cannot find a charity/rescue to help, or locate an owner then i think you need to find someone willing to take it in.
It could probably do with being checked over by a vet. Could you contact a local vet and see if they can do anything to help.

If you were anywhere near me i'd be round like a shot as i wont turn my back on a kitty that needs genuine help.

So I'm sure there are plenty of others like me and if you spread the word someone would help.

Thank you for your replies!

Meowmi , I live in south west Devon, & am hoping you live round the corner from me!!

Not sure how old he is looks very young, not over a year old that is for sure!

I have contacted the vets & they have put him on the lost & found list, Cannot get there to get him checked out.

Oh shame, Thats about 6 hours away from me.

There is a website called Catchat that i go on it is a rescue site. Maybe post the details of this kitten there (rescue and rehoming section) as they are really good at helping in situations like this and they have contacts from all over.

Its great for advice as well.

Good Luck!!!!

Poor thing. Cpl might trap neuter release, least he isn't breeding then.

He sounds utterly miserable.
