What should I do? my male cat has been neautered and the new kitten is 14 weeks old but the male keep batting her with his claws and they keep hissing at each other!!!!

It seems to be especially bad if they are in the same room as me - is it some kind of dominance thing - that the older cat doesn't want the kitten near me?

No their just deciding on the hierarchy.

It's what cats do when they are introduced to each other, remember your male cat sees the house as his and she is trespassing.

Did you keep them apart for a while and swap their bedding over to get used to the smell of each other?

Well at least their getting on better.

We had this years ago, I'm assuming she isn't to be spayed till 20 weeks so it will stop then. In our case the female attacked the male and he stopped. She had been a queen and we had to keep her in for one season until she could be spayed.

Our cat was trying to have sex with his sister at 17 weeks when I got him.

Don't worry about it. She'll get bored with the lack if followthrough and kick him off.
