Just lost my little fella

After a year of illness we had to put Tufnell to sleep this morning.
The vets were wonderful but I miss him so much.
His last meals were chicken and ham, with a bowl full of milk. He deserved to go out with yummy food.
Have just posted a memorial on the bluecross website - for anyone going through the same as me, it's a nice way of remembering them.

The worst thing is the ache because I miss him.
He was a lovely little cat. Don't know why but he didn't miaow but had huge eyes that told me everything. He was never any trouble and he was so friendly that we ended up with all the cats in the neighbourhood congregating in our garden ! He followed me everywhere and I could tell that he loved me as much as I loved him.
He was ill for nearly a year - it was some sort of bowel problem that eventually manifested itself in him pooing and weeing everywhere. He looked so sad at the end.
I wrapped him in his blanket and put a little note with him telling him how much joy he had brought me.
I just want to say that for anyone with a really ill animal and considering their options, it was really peaceful. He just fell asleep.

Sorry to hear that. It is sad when the time comes, but, having had three cats PTS, it is peaceful for them.

Dear tilly, i am so sorry..sat at home today (should be working) because my beautiful Dickiemint died last night and i am heartbroken ! its just the last straw this week so am drowning my sorrows.Only people with pets really understand, dont they
