Blood clots in faeces

Any idea of what this could be? The cat seems happy enough (not that the old lady actually does very much!) and is eating/drinking normally.

I would collect some and take both to the vet.
My old lady had streaks of blood in hers. The vet said he wouldn't investigate due to cost and her age.

Thanks Kreecher, it seems to have stopped now. Most odd, she certainly doesn't catch anything nowadays, and doesn't even really go outside for more than a few minutes a day. Will keep a beady eye on the litter tray (boke).

Lovely job. I didn't even have to watch the litter tray. Debbie was still going outside, presumably to pee. She just did a lovely slimey turd in the middle of the kitchen floor every day.
