Anyone using these techniques?

Interested to know what different cues you might use when toilet training.
She says ''be clean' thinking I might use something different but not sure what?

I've never read the book, but I advocate using a word or phrase that you are comfortable with in my family to weewees is used, get busy is common as is do your business.

We just say 'toilet'. We thought having something you could say in public without being too embarassed was important Smile

'spend a penny' and 'do your business'

We also use be quick, mostly born from toileting pups in the winter! We had one that DH incidentally re-trained to 'pitstop' because he always said 'Ahh pitstop' before they got out of the car and she went for a wee. She had a huge vocab (particularly when it came to biscuits) because they just used to chat all day.
Use whatever you are comfortable with that isn't too long.
My parents use 'tiddles' and 'pop pops'...I'm not the only one that cringes to say it Grin.

My old dogs were all trained to "busy busy" - can't for the life of me remember why we chose that now. Blush

New pup goes for "do wee" and 'do business".

We use "wee" and "toilet". It definitely helps having some word/phrase to focus their mind when they are contentedly sniffing round the garden while the rest of the family is waiting in the car!

All-too-audible training of mad new pup next door suggests that they are using ''Down the bottom!"

I imagine this refers to the bottom end of their garden rather than some strange instruction to the actual poop.

'Have a wee' said in a jolly voice works brilliantly - and I don't feel as ridiculous as I probably sound!
